ICG managed the construction of the first Holmes Place Health Club in North America. A joint venture between the UK fitness enterprise Holmes Place Health Clubs PLC and Chicago-based Bally Total Fitness, this 42,000-square-foot upscale health facility is located in Chicago's Streeterville district. The River East facility features a hydrotherapy tank, a unisex sauna, a day spa and a Jacuzzi. Large cardio and aerobic training rooms include plasma televisions and 18-foot high windows. The facility also offers a treatment spa, sports therapy clinic and a brasserie.
“This project faced a number of logistical challenges and scope changes. I have not worked with many (if any) general contractors who would have accepted the amount of complex issues being thrown at them without changing the completion date. ICG's extraordinary effort is to be commended.”
